Privacy
Updated
- Mementiq is now called Storikeep. Nothing else changes
Earlier changes
- Adds optional analytics cookies, used only if you allow them
- Describes the services Storikeep uses by what they do
- Notes the site or link that brought you when you sign up
- Notes when you agreed to the Terms
- First version
- Your library is private unless you share it
- No ads, no selling your data
- Export your library or delete everything anytime
What we collect
- Your account: email address, display name and password, and when you agreed to the Terms. The password is stored only as a secure hash.
- An avatar and a shelf cover image, if you add them.
- Your library: the titles you add with their status, ratings, notes, tags, dates and favourites, plus your collections.
- A history of changes to your entries, which powers Timeline and Insights.
- Feedback you send, kept for up to 180 days.
How we use it
- To run your library and show it back to you.
- To send account emails: email verification, password resets and email changes. These go out through an email delivery service.
- When you search for a title, the search text goes to public film, TV, book and game databases to find matches and covers. Nothing else about you is sent with it.
- A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to a day. Short-lived, scrambled counters of sign-in attempts help stop password guessing.
- Your theme choice and your cookie choice are saved in your browser only.
Storikeep is hosted by a cloud provider and stores your data in a secured database. These providers handle your data only to run Storikeep. We do not show ads, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers.
Visitor analytics
Our hosting provider's analytics counts page views without cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
Storikeep also keeps its own page-visit counts, without cookies, to see which pages people use.
When you create an account, Storikeep notes the site or link that brought you, such as "reddit", to see which places people come from.
Neither builds a profile of you.
If you tap Allow on the cookie bar, a web analytics service also sets cookies to measure how visitors find and use Storikeep, such as which search or site brought them. Nothing loads from it until you allow it, and you can change your choice anytime with Cookie choices at the bottom of the page.
Your choices
- Sharing: entries are private when you add them. Mark one public to show it in the Public library with your display name and avatar, and switch it back anytime.
- Export: download your library as CSV, or your profile and library as JSON, from Settings.
- Delete: deleting your account in Settings permanently removes your account, library, collections, history and feedback.
